Cereal bars with tahini, coconut and molasses

Cereal bars with tahini, coconut and molasses, a nutritious sugar-free snack, rich in good fats.

Ingredients (for 8 bars):


100 g oat flakes

80 g tahini

50 g molasses (black or pomegranate)

30 g grated coconut (plus extra for topping)

1 tsp cinnamon

1 pinch of salt

(optional) 1 tsp chia seeds or flaxseed



Execution instructions:


  1. Heat the tahini and molasses in a saucepan over low heat until they liquefy and combine.


  2. In a bowl, add the oats, coconut, cinnamon, salt (and seeds, if using).


  3. Pour the hot tahini mixture over the solids and mix well until smooth.


  4. Transfer the mixture to a small baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press it down to spread it out well.


  5. Sprinkle some extra coconut on top and refrigerate for 2–3 hours.


  6. Cut into 8 equal bars.
