Cereal bars with honey and nuts

Cereal bars with honey, nuts and hazelnut butter, a nutritious snack rich in good fats.

Ingredients (for 8 bars):


100 g oat flakes

80 g hazelnut butter (100% natural)

60 g honey

40 g mixed nuts (e.g. hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds), coarsely chopped

30 g dried berries (cranberries, goji, blueberries)

1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

1 pinch of salt



Execution instructions:


  1. Place the hazelnut butter and honey in a small saucepan and heat over low heat until they become liquid.


  2. Add the vanilla and salt, mix well.


  3. In a large bowl, add the oats, nuts, and dried berries.


  4. Pour the hot honey-hazelnut butter mixture on top and mix very well with a spoon or spatula.


  5. Transfer the mixture to a small baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press it evenly to spread.


  6. Refrigerate for 2–3 hours (or freeze for 30–40 minutes) until firm.


  7. Cut into 8 bars and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
