Frittata with potatoes and cottage cheese

Frittata with potatoes and cottage cheese, an easy meal, rich in protein and low in fat.

Ingredients (for 2–3 servings):


3 medium eggs

150 g cottage cheese

1 medium potato, thinly sliced

1 small onion, thinly sliced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp mustard (optional)

1 pinch oregano or thyme

Salt, pepper



Execution instructions:


  1. Boil or bake the potato for 10–15 minutes until slightly softened but not mushy.


  2. Sauté the onion with olive oil in a non-stick pan until translucent.


  3. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the cottage cheese, mustard, herbs, salt and pepper.


  4. Add the potato and onion to the mixture and stir.


  5. Pour the mixture into a small ovenproof dish or pan, or bake on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.


  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20–25 minutes, until firm and lightly browned.
