Falafel in the oven or Air-fryer, a crispy delight with a light profile and high nutritional value!

Ingredients:

250 g chickpeas (soaked for 12 hours or overnight)

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic

1 bunch of parsley

3 tbsp oat flakes (or oat flour)

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

Freshly ground pepper

1 tbsp olive oil (for spreading)

Execution instructions:

  1. Drain the soaked chickpeas and put them in the multicooker along with the onion, garlic, parsley, oats, and spices.

  2. Beat until a homogeneous mixture with a dough-like texture is created. It does not need to be completely smooth.

  3. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.

  4. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Form small round falafels and place them on a baking sheet lined with non-stick paper.

  5. Brush their surface with a little olive oil and bake for 25–30 minutes, turning them halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
